This is a voice/message from the past – and a long past too. I met Boyce at Waitara High School and the big connection was our association in the 1958 1st XV rugby side in a very successful season.
Although I have lived in Wellington for over 60 years I I can still visualise Boyce – in particular his positive nature but also his great sense of humour and camaraderie. I am sure he will be sadly missed by both family and a wide circle of friends.
Boyce – kia kaha -may you rest in piece .

Condolences to the kupe family . Had many enjoyable times going to the rugby with Boyce ,also worked with him on the units in wellington .I’m sure as you know Boyce didn’t suffer fools but if he was your friend you had a very special and loyal friend . Once again Condolences from Paul beale

Arohamai cousin couldn’t get there but thinking of you all….. we all thought the world of Uncle Boyce…. He kept things light and cuddley as round me and my kids…. Often teasing leading to a few laughs…. He always supported mama and wasn’t slow at callingout on troubled waters but you knew where you stood….. very special memories of a special unc in my life….. God bless and May blessings follow you always sweet Louise…..

Dear cousin, may you Rest in Peace. I remember when you came up to Auckland all those years ago and then seeing you off at the train station downtown with Kara and Mum.

    Cheers cousin.

Uncle Boyce, you were a beautiful man. What I remember about you, as a young girl, is you were very funny and looked just like my handsome Koro. You are now reunited with them all. How lovely! All my love to the rest of the whanau. Love Louella (your niece) xx 🤍🙏🏽😘

    Farewell Mr Kupe

Will always be thankful for the part you’ve played in my life. However I do have to remind you of the time you refereed Manunui U16 against Athletic U16. You got a call wrong regarding a ball not going straight into a line out. Athletic got the scrum feed even though they threw the ball in. When I told you of the wrong call you said you couldn’t change the call…..but I did get a sorry which I think was a rare as hen’s teeth 🙂
