To the Whitmore family. So sorry to read of Bretts passing.
While Brett and I lost touch for many reasons over the years there was always a strong family connection between us based on the Wellsford days.
    Fondly remembered.
    Kindest regards.

Thank you John. Brett often spoke of your teenage years and what you got up to during those times.

Thank you. The McClintock family contact with Brett and I was always enjoyed and opinions offered accepted. Both Jean and Lyndsay had many suggestions for bowls and the club as there experience over the years was always helpful. Old Point Wells history guided us in our general work in the Community which we both were sorry to leave but the move to Hamilton gave us more time with our family.

Thank you Pauline. Brett we now realise was not as well as we had hoped for by the time we left Point Wells. He was able to enjoy more time with the family after we moved to Hamilton which we all appreciated.

A great personality, I first met Brett when he was Signing Officer at our Suva Fijj branch in early seventies. Cannot forget his charming personality and his beautiful smile as he greeted us each morning at work. So sad but you will be remembered always.
So long my friend, God Bless your soul.

Thank you. We did miss Point Wells after we left but still hear news from time to time.

The move did give Brett more time with our family which he did enjoy even when his health was declining.

Brett was one of a kind. And a truly kind and generous person. We were honoured to know him, and to remember the friendship he and Margaret provided to our parents Allan and Ngaire, and making it possible for them to holiday with them when Ngaire herself was struggling with her health. We have fond memories of the Christmas champagne breakfasts, the innumerable dinners together and the stories of the holidays you had together. Thank you for the wonderful support you both provided to Ngaire and Allan, in particular after Ngaire’s passing. To know you were both there for them was comforting. We are privileged to have had the last few days with Brett’s company, still so sharp and engaging. Rest in peace Brett, you will be missed.

Although we missed Point Wells after our move to Hamilton it did give Brett more frequent enjoyable times with the family that he did enjoy as his health failed him which we all treasured.

    Hello Margaret

We are sorry to read of Brett’s passing last week. We go back many years to Hamilton North days in the 1980’s-1990’s when we worked at adjacent branches. I also remember visiting you both at Point Wells also many years ago.

I see you are in a Ryman village. We are currently also in one, Netherville in Flagstaff, Hamilton where we have been for the past 3.5 years. Unit 60/4 Admiral Cres. Pity that we did not know where we both were in recent times.
I have a hip replacement operation coming up on 1 July which will keep me grounded for a few weeks afterwards. I would be happy to catch up sometime if convenient. Contact phone is 07 829 4518.

I know you will be needing to deal with challenging times at present, so Neila and I wish you all the best for the days ahead.

    Blessings
    Ian & Neila Poole

Thank you Shirley and Ernie. Brett did enjoy his bank contacts after retirement. I will hopefully make the occasional WROC BOP luncheons.
