MacLEAN, Brian William. Passed away peacefully at Waikato Hospital surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, 25th November 2020. Aged 80 Years. Loved husband of Shirley for 57 years. Caring and respected father and father-in-law of Karen & Vernon May, Robert & Kathryn, Tony & Marion and Jason & Miel. Dearly loved granddad and poppa to Samantha, Jacinda, Jakob, Courtney, Bradley, Shayla, Edyn, Holly, Jaxon and great-gran poppa to Kadyn. The Service for Brian has been held. To Shirley and all the Family, we send our love and condolences. The service was just lovely, and plainly Brians wonderful sense of humour has passed to many, if not all of you. Yes, it is sad to lose my favourite Cousin, however, I have many many happy memories from Heriot, Wanaka and Taiko Valley. Not to mention the Cave Hotel. (No, I won’t mention that.) I have some very dodgy photos of Brian, Neroli and yours truly at Wanaka dances. Such good times and such great friends.
Plainly you, Shirley and Brian have done a magnificent job of raising your lovely family. How proud you must be of the result. Surely there is no greater joy than to have a close-knit loving family.
I salute you and am truly proud to be a somewhat distant part of the family.
