PERRY, David Ross. Peacefully passed away in his sleep, surrounded by his girls, at Waikato Hospice on Sunday, 1 February 2026, aged 59 years.
Beloved friend, lover and partner of Tracy. Cherished father and father-in-law of Amiee & Austin, and Jessie & Sean. Dearly loved Poppa to Elizabeth, James, JP and Baily. Loved son of Mary and the late Cecil, and much-loved brother of Jeanine & Brian Haigh, and Andrea & Brian Dobbs. Loved by all his nephews and nieces.
At David’s request, a private cremation has taken place.

So sad to hear your news yesterday, Tracy. I remember so well that couple of years I worked beside David with the Trainme students. The highs and lows and successes and failures. David was always positive and supportive, and he related so well to the trainees. We had a lot of fun. You will miss him terribly. May God bless you as you and your family grieve.
