You were a beautiful lady with an infectious laugh, loving nature, cheeky wit and sense of fun. Paulene, you will be very sadly missed, from the . back row, disrupting things with your sass, at our exercise class, lots of love, Maria
A beautiful lady. Great memories of our ST Pat’s and Marist days. Always asking how our families were doing. Such a loving lady. Will be sadly missed. RIP.
My dear Nanny,
Thank you for always being so proud of me. Thank you for my Dad. Thank you for never missing an opportunity to send love from afar, usually in the form of a card or a text in all capital letters.
I aim to be just as witty and half as strong as you.
Shane will cheer on the WAHs for you, unless of course they are playing the Cowboys.
I love you xx
Aunty Pauline, We always looked forward to seeing you when we were all at Bev and Kens in Christchurch. Your sense of humour, and fun always meant we had an enjoyable visit with you. The last of that generation of Symes. Reunited by now I am sure.
We will miss you.

While we wished we could have spent more time with you Paulene, we feel so lucky to have met you, you were a shining star that touched all around you.
You always made us feel part of your family, and we couldn’t help but be captured by your warmth and spark, a spark that never shone brighter than when talking about the Warriors or the Chiefs, and your beautiful family.
The cheekiest, say it how it is, do it your way, big loving heart. Our Nanny Purdon. You will be missed by your Darwin family. Your birthday cards and every other yearly card will be very missed by me as you always made me feel so special. Ooops, now I am crying.. Michelle xxx
It is with much sadness to read the passing of Pauline. Always had time to ask about the family. A beautiful lady.
Lots of happy memories from the Te Awamutu Marist days, always there to support the teams and working hard behind the scenes.
Sending my sincere condolences to the family.

Loving and vibrant, cheeky & witty, bright & colourful always had a joke on the ready.
She was known to us as Pauleany, and she will be so sadly missed by all the members that danced beside her.
She was a very valued member of NINZ Fitness, attending Zumba classes regularly over a period of 5 plus years, up until her operation.
💫May you continue to dance hand in hand with your darling and your cherished son.
