Just heard the sad news Steve. Really enjoyed working with you at Ohura & miss the times when you would pop in to use the computer & have a catch up at Waikeria. Deepest condolences to Carmen & the kids you were so proud of them all đź’”

I have known Brooke since she was at school and I was always aware of the devotion to her family was significant. Steven was a passive man and a good role model. He loved his bees and Doris plums. My condolences to the family.

    He is Gone
You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes,
    love and go on

So sorry to hear of your passing Steve, my thoughts are with Carmen & the kids – I can’t imagine how they are all feeling, losing their “Rock”.
I am so glad you & Carmen got to do your recent trip of a lifetime & tick that off your bucket list – you guys worked so hard to achieve that!
Those memories & photos will be priceless now.
I enjoyed doing “time” together with you out at Waikeria, talking finances, early retirement and other nonsense!!
I’m gutted l didn’t get one last catch up with you, before you hung up ya boots bro. You’ll be sadly missed.
